Leak Watch
There is a large amount of water bubbling up from what I can only imagine is a water-main break in the middle of the intersection of Negley Avenue and Penn Avenue in East Liberty. The City of Pittsburgh, I am sure, is on it. It will be fixed right away.
I first noticed the water burbling in the street on Sunday. It is now Wednesday.
Now, we all know very well that it is not the nature of Pittsburgh politicians to pay attention to places like East Liberty (or Garfield, or Homewood) unless they can do so in the context of making a speech to some TV cameras and other people who might be hanging around, and they mostly do that as favors to one another.

Still, you have to admit that the city did something on Monday. They put some sawhorses around the leak.

It is now two days later.
