The day after I lauded the Post-Gazette’s Early Returns as “the best of Pittsburgh’s [mainstream media] weblogs,” Rich Lord laid this tortured metaphor on us:

Just days after being nearly knocked out of the game by a brutal hit at the Democratic Committee endorsement meeting, Pittsburgh Councilman William Peduto is trying to catch the loose puck that he hopes might rejuvenate his limping mayoral campaign.

Ugh. Keep this up and I might have to rescind your title and award it posthumously to Patti Burns, who I have no doubt would have had a fantastic weblog.
