Immanuel Christian Daycare, Butler Street

When you put an apostrophe next to the letter s, that is called a posessive. “Angel’s” means “belonging to an angel.” This is elementary grammar, which should be known by anyone engaged in the education of children, even very small ones.

I do recognize that the sentence structure breaks down completely by the end of this sign, but the apostrophe thing seems like an easy lesson to teach.

I will let others speculate upon the blasphemous implications of a “Christian Daycare” storefront calling any sort of humans “angels,” even if one did manage to write it correctly.

I was in Crazy Mocha today and a guy ran in ranting about this sign. Mac, you’re not alone!
